Dr. La’Kita Knight, Founder and CEO
Dr. Knight is the founder and CEO of Live Eazy Wear, LLC, a premium collection of athleisure, sports, lounge, body shapers, night, and sleep wear. She is not only an entrepreneur but also a Nurse Scientist, Family Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, author, daughter, wife, mother, and friend. Dr. Knight holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology Degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Queens University of Charlotte; a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Winston-Salem State University; and a Doctoral Degree from Duke University School of Nursing. Dr. Knight’s area of expertise is Stroke and Neurodevelopmental Delays in Children with Sickle Cell Disease.
Dr. Knight has meticulously expanded her portfolio from rendering healthcare advancement of patients to designing a premium collection of clothing and entrepreneurship. As a result, Dr. Knight is a proud woman and minority business owner in the magnificent state of North Carolina. She decided to create Live Eazy Wear, LLC because she personally experienced numerous clothing challenges after multiple pregnancies and childbirths. One of her dilemmas was finding comfortable yet breathable clothing that contoured her body without having to undergo an expensive procedure like a “Mommy Makeover.” So, instead of subjecting her body to a costly medical procedure with extensive downtime, Dr. Knight created a unique blend of clothing that is specially engineered to accentuate the ever-evolving body of both a young and mature woman (or person). Each Live Eazy Wear garment is distinctively designed for every woman (or person). Therefore, the primary goal of this clothing line is to encourage women and people to feel feminine, sexy, and most of all EMPOWERED!
Dr. Knight learned the essentials of empowerment, sisterhood, leadership, and service through her sisterhood, participation, and initiation into Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, Incorporated on March 29, 2009. Dr. Knight was a charter member of Tau Beta Chapter on the campus of Queens University of Charlotte. The AKA Sorority helped cultivate skills of leadership development, mentoring, and service to all mankind. Today, these skills have been instrumental in Dr. Knight’s success as a community philanthropist. She has served in many compacities at local food banks, community outreach programs, churches, and more. She has also provided financial contributions, community aid, as well as met with NC State House and Senate Representatives regarding legislature changes.
